Marches 4x4 looking forward to a great season in 2008

2008 has all the hallmarks of being an exciting and busy year for everyone from our competitors to the organisers and of course the marshals.

The Britpart MSA British Cross Country Championship.

For a number of years now the BORC, or, as it’s now called the Britpart MSA British Cross Country Championship (BCCC) had a season consisting of 5 rounds in England, Scotland and Wales. This year we are increasing this to 6 and next year we have plans to increase still further.

This reflects a much higher entry level and renewed enthusiasm for this sport.
Indeed I am sure some of this success lies in our professional publicity machine, with press reports going to a wide range of publications weeks before an event and within hours of the last car crossing the line.

Securing the best possible venues for our events is always a problem, but the dedication of our team to find the best available pays dividends and our competitors enjoy some of the finest terrain with each venue presenting it’s own individual challenge.
This year is certain to be exciting with many new competitors and new machines.
The nail biting finish of last years Championship could well be repeated.
For more information, navigate to the BCCC page on this site.

Our Commitment.

Marches 4x4 take great pride in being in the forefront of environmental awareness and our competitive routes are carefully chosen to minimise the impact on the terrain and wildlife.
We take the same care with our rescue and recovery crews and feel we have chosen the best available.
Our marshals are the backbone of all our events and their long hours and dedication in all weathers ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend for everyone.
In addition to attending MSA training days they also attend Marches training weekends where the different demands and skills needed for Cross Country events can be addressed.

Marches 4x4 is a profesional and dedicated team of enthusiasts striving to provide the best cross country motorsport for the benefit of everyone.

Marches 4x4 .... Who Are We ?

Marches 4x4 Motorsport Management Ltd was set up and founded in 2000 by four dedicated off-road enthusiasts through which to promote and run the MSA British Off Road Championship rounds and to promote motor sport both on and off road.

2001 was the year that Foot & Mouth raged through the Countryside there were no MSA British Off Road Championship rounds that year and so Marches 4x4 held several single venue “Festivals” around the Country instead.

In 2002 the “team” organised the MSA British Off Road Championship which consists of 5 rounds, and are as far apart as South Wales and Scotland and has since ran annually.
Each round is held over two days and is a single venue event with up to 14 runs.

Marches also run two National Hillrally Championship rounds, Y Rali Bryn Cymru, and The Hillrally, another round is run by the Scottish Hillrally Club, again each round is held over two days. These are multi venue events with up to 13 stages.

We hold an annual Championship Awards Dinner which is held in the Midlands and is attended by both competitors and the organising team.

Most of the “Marches Team” are involved with several other events, providing radio control, safety radio, course cars, course closing cars, stage commanders, Clerks of the course, event safety officers, setting up stages, marshalling, providing Recovery and providing Winch Training.

Marches 4x4 Motorsport Management Ltd is a non-profit making organisation and we are grateful for the time and assistance from all our team members and volunteers who give freely to promote and develop the sport.

From time to time I may make a mistake, if you see photo's incorrectly credited, then please let me know so I can rectify it.
We are greatful for your support of our events and will always support you with links back to your websites.
Due to bandwidth limitations I am unable to host video's, I would however be happy to provide a link back to where you have it posted.
